This project is a continuation of a current initiative aimed at building the commitment and capacity of local government to implement Water Sensitive Urban Design.

Partners: Wester Sydney Region Organisation of Councils, Upper Parramatta River Catchment Trust (UPRCT), NSW Stormwater Trust, Sydney Water, Sydney Coastal Councils Group and local government.

Coordinator: Sydney Metropolitan Catchment Management Authority

Status: Transferred from UPRCT to the SMCMA in 2006/07. Program Manager position filled in September 2007.  2007/08 workplan will be implemented as per plan detailed on the program website situated at www.wsud.org 

Environmental Outcomes: An increase in the capacity to implement regional integrated urban water management practices.  Including utilising stormwater as a more sustainable resource.  In turn this will improve the quality and quantity of stormwater discharged to receiving environments such as Sydney Harbour.
