This project worked with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities across the catchment to increase engagement in natural resource management. Activities included working with councils, agencies and community groups including the Ethnic Communities Council of NSW.

The project was part of the CMA?s Community Program and the Project Officer assisted in promoting CALD engagement activities in projects funded through the CMA? s small grants projects such as the Cooks River Regeneration- Cultural and Environment Project with the Al Ghazzali Centre and Canterbury Council.

Activities of the project included producing a DVD ?Walking Together, Working with Nature?. An ESL Teaching Guide was also produced with Ku-ring-gai Council. A Skillshare workshop highlighting case studies of successful CALD and NRM activities was held to assist councils and other agencies to engage their CALD communities.
