The project improved biodiversity at Cataract Scout Parkby enhancing degraded riparian vegetation. Starting with the supervision and training of scouts, the first stage of the project involved removal of weeds.  This was followed by erosion control measures and then revegetation of selected degraded areas in the park.  There was a focus of works on the riparian zones of Jamboree Creek.  Then seeds were collected for propagation and a Landcare trailer was built to store materials and transport tools and materials into the field.

Wollondilly Shire Council undertook the project in partnership with Scouts Australia NSW

Project Progress ? April 2008:  The project was successfully completed.  The Landcare trailer is still in great demand and many Scouts have participated in Landcare projects.
