| Sydney GreenWeb (Biodiversity - Corridors - Habitat) |
|
This multifaceted project will look at reviewing existing green web data and updating and mapping current active management activities. A strategic plan will be prepared which identifies the range of bushcare activities and provides strategic direction for future rehabilitation activities focusing on the management of corridor habitat. The Green Web Sydney program will support and promote the Community Nursery Network by continuing work with local government to improve access to local provenance seed stocks and increase understanding of the importance of using plants of local provenance for revegetation projects and the protocols for seed collection and use. This program will also build on the work being undertaken as part of the Cooks River Icon Project (GreenWeb to Green streets). An awareness/education program will be undertaken based on the projects findings for Council parks and gardens staff and landscape architects.
