This project was to conserve biodiversity in prioritised locations through the identification and management of actively eroding tracks and trails which were affecting nearby bushland areas. It promoted and demonstrated best practice management and rehabilitation by undertaking on ground work at identified high priority sites.
Some educational and awareness raising was undertaken occurred at each demonstration site such as community workshops, best practice promotional fact sheets/brochures and signage.
Priority areas included:
Project Progress: Project completed in June 2009. Three sites were rehabilitated ? Wheeler Creek (near Cromer), Manly Dam mountain bike track and Appin East Crown Reserve.
